I have counseling experience in both an agency and private practice setting. My agency work included therapy with individuals, children and families, as well as, case management, assessment, and crisis response. In addition to working with mental health issues, I have experience working with a wide variety of relationship-issues including sex and intimacy, LGBTQIA+ issues, Queer experiences, family issues, partnership, and communication. I am versed in issues of owning and running a private practice in the Seattle area and will support you through building a successful and sustainable practice. 

 

My orientation to counseling is systemic with a concentration on queer theory, social constructivism, and attachment theory. I use techniques from a variety of schools of thought, including client-centered therapy, family systems, intergenerational concepts queer theory and narrative therapy.  My work focuses on working with relationships, couple therapy, and sex and intimacy issues. 

 

I am trained in specific couples therapy techniques including The Gottman Method and the Developmental Model from the Couples Institute. I am certified by the American Association for Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) in Sexuality Therapy and specialize in issues around sexuality including both individuals and couples work. I offer my supervisees a sex-positive and affirmative lens to working with their clients. 

 

I believe that balancing of self and other plays an important role in our wellbeing; and this is one of the primary areas I focus on with supervisees. In supervision, we will explore all facets of this field of work including personal, professional and entrepreneurial growth.
